Shower mistake #2: You use “normal” shower gel for the intimate area

For most of us, soaping occurs according to a fixed pattern: first the armpits, then the stomach and then a little lower. But stop! Usually, the pH value in the intimate zone is in the acidic range between 4.5 and 5.5. The acidic environment is essential to make life more difficult for pathogens such as fungi and bacteria. The problem: The pH value of soap or regular washing gel is much higher, namely 8 to 11. If we wash with the wrong product, we can destroy the natural protective barrier of our intimate area. You should, therefore, never wash your bikini line with regular shower gel.
Shower mistake #3: You also clean “inside.”
The proper washing lotion for the genital area is ready. But there is one more mistake many of us make when showering. You want to be particularly thorough and therefore also wash inside. A horror idea for every gynaecologist because water and washing lotions that get into the vagina can, as already mentioned, cause significant damage. Cleaning from the inside is also superfluous because the vagina has self-cleaning powers.
So when washing in the shower: yes on the outside, no on the inside And if you feel the need to freshen up a bit during the day, you can use special intimate wipes.

Shower mistake #4: You are using the wrong shaving foam on your bikini line

The problem with shaving foam: It’s a good thing for armpits and legs, but not for the bikini line. Shower mistake #5: You’re also soaping your arms and legs
Are you one of those people who lather up your arms and legs in the shower so that your whole body smells fresh? If so, you should stop doing that from today. Because by doing this, you are only making sure that your skin dries out, tightens and itches. The skin on the arms and legs can hold moisture even worse than on other parts of the body. So better let the shower gel stand and rinse off with water.
Shower mistake #6: You shower too long
One would like never to turn off the shower jet because the warm pattering on the skin is just too pleasant. But showering is like many things in life: when it’s at its best, you should stop.
Instead of spending 15, 20 or even 30 minutes in the shower as before, you should stop after 5 to 10 minutes in the future. Because the longer you shower, the more your skin dries out because every second more of the protective layer of fat on the skin’s surface is rinsed off.
