Messy Bun Instructions: Step By Step To The Trend Hairstyle

The so-called messy bun is currently all the rage. With the intentionally messy bun, she gives every look a casual touch. There are many different variations for the messy bun. We have opted for a particularly simple one and show you step-by-step instructions with which you can easily recreate the trend hairstyle.

Step 1: the bun

For the ideal messy bun, comb your hair properly in advance so that it falls neatly and you can combine it into a ponytail.

Grab your hair at the top of your head, where you want your bun to be later.

Now you have to be careful not to use the hair tie, as you would with a normal ponytail, to tie all of your hair.

  • a: Pull your hair only halfway through the elastic at first. The hair now forms a loop here.
  • b: Now repeat this step again with the existing hair loop. (It might work three times, depending on how long your hair is.)

Step 2: attach

You can attach the bun as you like with hairpins. If you still have a lot of hair left, you can twist it in and wrap it around the rubber and then pin it in place. To do this, grab individual sections of hair with the needle and pin them to the side of your bun.

Step 3: make it messy!

For the voluminous messy look, you can loosen the bun now. To do this, you should pull several strands of hair in different directions, or loosen individual strands completely. If you like, you can now fix the bun with hairspray. Finished!
