A Crush On Aloe Vera, The Plant With A Thousand Virtues

Aloe vera or aloe is very fashionable these days. And yet, its use dates back more than 6,000 years. This plant native to East Africa and the warm areas of the Mediterranean basin was once used as a medicinal plant. The Egyptians nicknamed it the “plant of immortality”.

This succulent plant, which is by the way very decorative, is now ubiquitous in the composition of cosmetics and in beauty boxes. And that’s completely normal! The pulp present in its leaves, called aloe vera gel , has many virtues whether for the skin or for the body.

The benefits of aloe vera for the skin

In dermatology and cosmetics, the benefits of aloe vera are well established. This plant is not only used to cure skin problems , it also makes it more beautiful! It is also a key ingredient in grandmother’s recipes .

The moisturizing properties of aloe vera make it an excellent ally for anyone who suffers from dry or sensitive skin. Use a face cream made with aloe vera gel and you will see its benefits for yourself. The skin is plumped in just a few days. Be careful to choose an aloe-based cream that is as natural as possible to make the most of its virtues.

Aloe gel can also be used to maintain your skin by carrying out regular exfoliating scrubs.

Now that I have discovered this miraculous plant and its thousand virtues, I use it in all sauces. Because if aloe moisturizes the skin , it also has healing and soothing properties. Sunburn ? Aloe vera! Superficial burn? Aloe vera! Mosquito bite ? Aloe vera ! Blisters on my feet (because I absolutely wanted to wear my new shoes on Saturday night)? Aloe vera! By applying aloe gel to the “traumatized” part of your body, the burning and itching sensations will gradually fade and healing will be faster. It is also said that aloe is very useful for skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema and even acne.

The use of this miracle plant is not restricted to women. Men can also use it for all the reasons mentioned above but also to moisturize beard hair. Goodbye stinging breeze and hello silky beard!

The benefits of aloe vera for the body

If aloe vera and its benefits for the skin are recognized, those of the latex contained in the leaves of the plant are less so. The latex, yellow in color, is found in the canals of the bark. It contains anthranoid with laxative effects. Therefore, latex is recommended if you suffer from gastrointestinal disorders, indigestion or sour stomach. Aloe juice will reduce bloating and soothe pain. However, it is advisable not to abuse it. It is best to ask your doctor for advice.

Aloe vera juice is also known to fight diabetes and cholesterol problems. It is clear that it does not replace medical treatment, but it can come in addition. Of course, once again, talk to your doctor who will give you a full list of the benefits of aloe juice for the body .

Let’s go back to aloe gel , because it too has virtues for the body , and especially for the hair! By applying it to the scalp, you can accelerate hair growth and allow your hair to grow faster. Its moisturizing properties also help fight dandruff and dead skin on the scalp. Bye bye whiteheads on the jacket and hello shiny hair!

As you will have understood, I am an unconditional fan of aloe vera … I use its gel to beautify my skin , soothe it in case of burns and to moisturize my scalp. As for its juice, I consume it to help me digest after a meal that is too rich.

If you know of other benefits of aloe vera or miracle recipes based on aloe gel or juice, don’t hesitate to share them in the comments.
